Abstract :
Monolithic microwave integrated circuits (MMIC) technology using GaAs offer high performance and very low cost for the production of Wireless-LAN IC components. This paper reports the development of a 2.4 GHz transmitter and a 5.78 GHz receiver. The transmitter upconverts a 360 MHz frequency, applying a gain of 50 dB, with 24 dBm output. The receiver downconverts to 180 MHz and has 50 dB gain and a 4 dB noise figure (NF).
