Abstract :
In this paper, Lyapunov Stability Theory is applied to the analysis and control of switched converters, with special emphasis on DC-DC converters. As the main result, the operation region of the converter and a switching rule that makes the system globally asymptotically stable are derived from the existence of a Lyapunov function. The implementation of the control technique is discussed and experimental results for a boost converter are presented.
