Abstract :
Complex relative permittivity data for polyetheretherketone (PEEK) obtained over the extended ranges from 0.1 Hz to 3 MHz and -180 °C to +230 °C is discussed. It is concluded that dielectric relaxations in PEEK arise variously from local-mode segmental motions, group ring flips, Brownian motion associated with the glass transition, and MWS polarizations at interfaces between crystalline and amorphous domains
