Abstract :
Summary form only given. There are known sources of broadband noise-like microwave oscillations which have been given the name vircators (virtual cathode oscillators). There are various kinds of both high- and low-voltage vircators1,2. To our mind, there are common principles underlying all of them, first and foremost, using of multiple-velocity electron beams resulting in their turbulization and formation of space-charge bunches. Space-time interaction between space charge bunches produces conditions for formation of internal electronic feedback and thus leads to generation3. The evidence for this mechanism is that generation.
