Abstract :
Completing the study series (Popov, 2003; 2004; 2005) designed to describe and summarize the mission planning data integration experience gathered on MIR and the International Space Station (ISS) programs, this paper presents and discusses a pilot implementation of the mission planning process (and data) integration approach in terms of an integrated capability maturity model (CMM). To support mobile servicing system (MSS) mission operations and meet requirements on the ISS Program (ISSP), a number of key processes has been designed. The design is a Web-based workflow software package prototype with inherent features such as access management, e-mail alerts, status monitoring, role/task (re-)assignments, on-line validation, real-time follow-up, escalation, delegation, audit trail, among others. The proposed off-the-shelf platform serves as a prototype for a collaborative environment supporting the CMM methodology as well as for a corresponding management tool
