Abstract
The state of the art Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) coil for Prostate imaging is the endorectal coil. The endorectal coil is uncomfortable for patients and distorts the prostate during imaging. This paper investigates the use of an external coil in the Helmholtz configuration to image the prostate and pelvic region.
