Abstract :
The aim is to design a cathode-modulate unit (CMU) of a compact long focal electron gun embedded in an axially symmetric energy analyzer. The simulation tools of the copyright software "FOCUS" optimized parameters of an electron beam (diameter, angular spread, energy) in the formation field of a crossover. The influence of external magnetic fields on the operation of a CMU is considered.
