Abstract :
The linearity of an envelope elimination and restoration (EER) transmitter depends primarily upon the bandwidth of the baseband envelope amplifier and path delay difference between the envelope and phase signals. A method for compensating the path-delay difference based on the baseband DSP technique has been proposed in this paper. This technique uses a baseband interpolation process to reduce the intermodulation effects of an EER transmitter. The improvements in spectral regrowth and waveform quality in the application to an IS-95 reverse link signal are demonstrated
