Abstract :
Summary form only given. In recent years, atmospheric-pressure streamer discharge has been used in various applications such as ozone generation, exhaust gas treatment and VOCs decomposition etc... In these applications, higher discharge-repetition rate is required in order to improve the throughput of discharge treatment. Therefore, the remarkable development of higher-frequency pulse power source has been advanced. In this work, the gas temperature distribution of nonbranched positive streamer and its surrounding gas was visualized by means of laser schlieren method. For problem solving, the cause of the transition to non-branched positive streamer was investigated from the viewpoint of guide effect of streamer by residual plasma including gas heating and/or charged particles etc...
