Abstract :
Based on three-dimensional (3-D) modeling technique, a procedure for interferometric synthetic aperture radar (InSAR) raw data simulation of complex radar scenes is proposed. 3-D models are used to describe the geometries of the scene as well as the distribution of the different scattering characteristics of targets in the scene. A modification to conventional processing of shadowing is made to adapt the irregular grids of the 3-D models. Numerical simulation results demonstrate the validity and usefulness of the proposed technique.
