Abstract :
In order to eliminate the friction force of linear motor numerical control machine tool feed system, a new Magnetic Suspension Permanent Magnet Linear Synchronous Motor(PMLSM)is putted forward in this paper, which can generate the suspending power by itself and it is different from electromagnet suspension system. The virtual work method is presented for the electromagnetic force computation of linear synchronous motor in this paper. Then the results, which are then compared to those from the software ANSOFT, prove the validation of this method, and the results show that the motor can generate thrust and suspending force independently and it is feasible to realize the friction-free feed of NC machine tools machine.
