Abstract
Summary from only given. We have recently developed a spectrometer that is based on a pulsed distributed feedback quantum cascade laser and a non-resonant multi-pass White cell. We will report on the use of our spectrometer for the trace level detection of a range of key atmospheric gases and highlight those features that limit the spectral resolution and sensitivity of our spectrometer. We will also compare the operation of this spectrometer with a spectrometer based on a resonant cavity that is operated in a ringdownfashion.
