Abstract :
This paper presents a novel fuzzy-variable structure-robust model reference adaptive combined control scheme. The characteristic of this scheme lies in the improvement of the tracking performance of uncertain plants in smoothness, steady-state accuracy and robustness. The new controller not only maintains good output-tracking property, but also removes the oscillation brought out by variable structure control by replacing the sign function in old schemes with a fuzzy control output
