Abstract :
A novel miniaturized quarter-wavelength C-shaped antenna, which will find many applications in cellular phones, and indoor wireless LANs is presented. The dielectric chip antenna is designed on a 0.625 mm thick ceramic substrate with a size of 10 mm × 9.5 mm. Simulation results show that this antenna has a nearly omnidirectional pattern and a bandwidth of 0.7% for VSWR < 2.
