Abstract :
This paper presents an overview of millimeter wave filters suitable for mass-fabrication. A new type of cross-coupled E-plane filter is introduced and compared with standard design approaches. Quasi-planar filters as stand-alone component or for integration with active devices are reviewed. Cavity-type filters for TE 10-mode or multimode operation with harmonic suppression are discussed and possibilities for plastic injection moulding mass-fabrication are described.
