Abstract :
This paper analyzes the characteristics of the common faults of air-cooled turbogenerators and works out a fault tree. Then a newly-developed fault diagnosis expert system was presented. According to the symptoms stored in database and expertise stored in knowledge base, the system searches all the fault tree to calculate the probability of every fault, gives out the reasoning process and recommends what kinds of measurements should be taken in that situation. And the system has also functions of trend analysis and prediction
