Abstract
This paper proposes a method based on a prediction error minimization (PEM) algorithm to identify the discrete state-space model of a LCL filter used as interface between a voltage source converter and the electrical grid. This model can be used to design directly a discrete current controller in the state space using techniques as linear quadratic regulator, state estimators, etc. The method can be applied to a closed-loop system, being suitable for adaptive control designs.
