Abstract
The effect of circuit level distortions on system level performance is becoming an important issue in optimizing the design of low power direct conversion receivers. Circuit level distortions must be accounted for in the link budgets of low power systems. In this paper, we derive an expression for the BER of differentially detected π/4 DQPSK signal in the presence of DC offset for AWGN and Rayleigh fading channels. The expressions are verified via agreement with simulation
