Abstract :
Plate-like single crystals of KNbO3 were grown from a layered perovskite precursor, K2NbO3 F, at 890degC. The K2NbO3F single crystals with plate-like morphology were synthesized at 790degC as a template precursor. At over 800degC, K and F components were eliminated from the precursor K2NbO3F and plate-like KNbO3 single crystals were formed.
