Abstract
The anisotropic dielectric strip waveguide with trapezoidal cross-section is analyzed using a volume integral equation formulation. Results show that varying the z (x)-component of the dielectric strip permittivity has a stronger effect on the dispersion relation of the TM-like (TE-like) strip mode due to its larger E z (E x) field distribution.
