  • Abstract
A surfaced permanent magnet spherical motor with just one motor to be capable of operating as three degree of freedom that the joints of the robot´s arm, leg, and eyes to be used for onging research. A new concept in this area, the overall portion of the motor can make a great contribution in the future, is becoming expected. Future design direction is smaller motors with equivalent or higher output. Solutions as torque and efficiency improvements are select the core with special processing type like powder metallurgy materials. Their characterized high permeability, low eddy current losses at high peed, so improved the torque and efficiency. And prototype spherical motor, measurement back emf that is proportional with the torque in constant current, compared with simulation results, and it proved to be reliable level by errors within 3%.
