Abstract :
The present paper suggests a simple H-plane directional coupler with a wide bandwidth, and the circuit configuration is optimized on the basis of a multimode equivalent circuit model. For example, a fractional bandwidth of 33.3% for 3 dB coupling is obtained in E-band. Validity of the design results is confirmed by EM-simulation
