Abstract :
In this paper, a phase-only synthesis method is proposed to produce the shaped beam patterns for a satellite planar array antenna. This method is based on Fourier analysis and an iterative method. The simulation results show that the shaped beam patterns can be obtained for the Earth coverage case and the desired coverage area case, respectively
