Abstract :
Recently, high performance power switching devices realize high performance power converters. High speed turn-on and turn-off however cause electromagnetic interference (EMI). EMI filters composed of inductors and capacitors are widely used to reduce EMI. Inductor is heavy and large so that it is better to reduce use of passive filters. There are several studies to reduce harmonics by modifying switching transient slope. In this paper, a new method of modifying switching transient slope is proposed using optimization of performance index derived from amplitude of harmonics.
