  • Abstract
    We have developed a compact extended port using optical techniques that can be used with full 2-port calibrations such as SOLT, SOLR, TRL, and et al. This extended port is an advanced and compact version of the extended port developed previously [1]. All components of the compact extended port are included in an aluminum box whose size is 2 cm x 2 cm x 5.6 cm. An N-type male connector is attached to the box. Because only optical fibers are connected to the box, there is no metal except the box and the connector.
