ATRAM - An Analysis Tool of Requirement and Architecture Management

In the development of computer systems the complementary areas of system requirements and architecture management involve an overwhelming amount of inter-related information. The use of software support tools is essential to effectively and practically manage the system´s architecture and to facilitate system integration and evolution. The envisaged ATRAM - Analysis Tool of Requirement and Architecture Management is such a tool. It has been developed to address addressed the following three issues: presentation (modeling), representation (mark-up) and traceability of the definition and evolution of system requirements and architecture. In ATRAM we propose a set of analytical tools, including a tool to assist the generation/development of requirements and documents pertaining to the architecture of composed systems, and a tool for interoperability checking which will help in analysing the impact of change on the enterprise system´s requirements or architecture.
