Abstract :
For high precision impedance measurement only a very limited range of commercial instruments is available. The most accurate commercially available instruments for impedance measurements are capacitance bridges. Precise instruments for inductance or general impedance measurements are not available on the market. This paper describes novel methods for calibration of inductance reference standards from 1 muH to 10 kH using an accurate capacitance bridge with uncertainty on 1 kHz better than 50 ppm for 100 muH to 10 kH and better than 500 ppm for 1 muH and 10 muH. Main attention is paid to new measurement method using active or passive T-circuit for inductances from 1 muH to 1 H.
