Abstract
Wireless Internet access is becoming increasingly pervasive, and likewise it is increasingly expected to use this Internet access while "on the go." In such a scenario where both the service and the users are no longer constrained by simple physical boundaries, there needs to be a secure means of determining the location of the users and using this information for purposes such as security or other location- based services which add value to the network. This paper proposes an architecture for such a secure location service and evaluates its feasibility and effectiveness and compares existing unsecure architectures.
