Abstract :
EMI caused by switching operations is measured practically in a few substations. Conduction harassment property is analyzed in substation secondary systems or low-voltage AC power systems. Its characteristics in time and frequency domain are given. To counter these characteristics, frequency properties of insertion losses and property impedances of a few reality power filters are studied. An experimental filtering circuit is designed and its filtering effects on electrical fast transience/burst and oscillatory waves are both tested. Requirements of filtering property of substation power filter are defined.
