Abstract :
Real-time measuring the concentration of gelatin is important for the gelatin production, but the equipment for monitoring concentration of gelatin on-line is so expensive and difficult to maintain that it is not suitable for application. At present, the off-line sampling and monitoring method with low accuracy is applied in general. Aiming to provide practical and affordable industrial-scale control technology of extraction, we developed a soft sensor to estimate concentration of gelatin on-line based on temperature and time in the process. The soft sensor, calibrated with industrial experimental data in laboratory, consisted of a Least Square - Support Vector Machine (LS-SVM) and involved simple data pre-processing procedures. The simulation results show that this method can meet the forecast accuracy and production needs. And, this method can achieve higher identification precision at reasonably small size of training sample set.
