Abstract
It is of importance to image cardiac electrical activity. In the presentation we will review state of the arts of cardiac electrical imaging, with emphasis on three-dimensional (3D) electrocardiographic imaging. Such 3D imaging ability was achieved by incorporating a priori information with regard to the anatomy and physiology of the heart. We have demonstrated that by introducing physiological a priori information through the use of a heart cellular-automaton model or based on the biophysics relationship of cardiac excitation, we are able to reconstruct cardiac activation sequence within the 3D myocardium from body surface electrocardiograms. Theoretical and experimental results will be discussed of this new imaging modality.
