Abstract
Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) technology is applied into the 3GPP Long Terra Evolution (LTE) systems. Based on the characteristics of frequency assignment and transmission scheme, the interference and compatibility related to co-existence of LTE is highlighted in this paper. The radio frequency (RF) system scenarios and the LTE-specific co-existence studies methodology are presented. The performance degradation due to the co-existence is quantified by comparing with single system scenarios and optimal co-existence compromise has also been derived in this paper.
