Abstract :
In this paper, a novel SRM dead-beat torque control strategy is proposed to solve the inherent disadvantage of torque ripple associated with the conventional control. Based on the SRM mathematical model, the strategy analyzes the relations between the torque deviation and the output voltage, and calculates the optimal resultant voltage which could compensate the torque error exactly in one sampling cycle. In addition, the strategy is modified in the commutation overlap to prevent the commutation torque ripple. Compared with the traditional SRM control system, the strategy makes the electromagnetic torque follow the reference torque exactly at every moment and realizes significant improvement in performance. The simulation results verify that the proposed control scheme can reduce torque ripple effectively, preserve the quick dynamic torque response and show good robustness.
