Abstract :
In this paper, a novel calculation method of dynamic thrust of single-side linear induction motor (SLIM) is presented for mid-low speed maglev train. This method is based on the flux density in gap and the motor speed. It uses less coupling parameters with static and dynamic end effect of SLIM. The dynamic end effect is quantized in thrust calculation. By using this method, the aberrance of magnetic flux density at different slip frequency and the aberrance influence to dynamic thrust of SLIM can be obtained. The secondary time constant is obtained by model reference adaptive system (MRAS). Experimental results on a SLIM verify the method proposed in this paper. It is distinct simplicity and project practicability.
