Abstract :
The ambiguity function of MIMO radar was presented from its own characteristics based on the ambiguity function of bistatic radar. Firstly, right-angle coordinate system was built as reference system for MIMO radar. Secondly, target coordinate and velocity were selected as variables of ambiguity function. Finally, the ambiguity function of MIMO radar was got, which was a combination of the ambiguity function of bistatic radar. The ambiguity function of MIMO radar could directly determine the position of target and velocity and the resolution of the position is higher when more transmitters and receivers were used. The ambiguity function of MIMO radar was unrelated to the reference point.
