Abstract
Program slicing is an approach used in the debugging process. The authors report on the development of an interactive parallel program slicer (PPS) for distributed-memory parallel programs on the iPSC/2 Hypercube System. PPS focuses on the csend and crecv commands of the iPSC/2 Hypercube System. An extended slicing criterion is developed for applying program slicing to distributed-memory parallel programs. The design approach of the static-slicing-based PPS is discussed. Some basic rules for applying PPS to iPSC/2 Hypercube System programs are introduced. An example is also presented
