Abstract :
Wave processes in pre-modulated electron stream interacted with electromagnetic field has been considered in the framework of two-dimensional linear theory. Influences of space charge and finite focusing magnetic field have been taken into account. In some cases space charge leads to instability appearance. By setting initial conditions in different ways the effect of magnetic field on interaction has been investigated in photo-TWT, carcinotrode (BWO with emission automodulation), BWO in pre-generation regime, also its influence on behavior of noise factor in TWT has been considered. Successive approximation and dispersion equation methods have been applied for solving.
