Abstract :
An Static Synchronous Series Compensator (SSSC) is a typical Flexible AC Transmission System (FACTS) device that can vary the effective impedance of a transmission line by injecting a voltage containing an appropriate phase angle in relation to the line current. This paper deals with the modeling of wind energy based SSSC for enhancing power flow as well as improving voltage stability of the power system.
