  • Abstract
A novel Tri-Band equal power divider with coupled line section is presented in this paper. Coupled lines section is used to achieve the necessary impedance transformation at three selected frequencies. The topology of the structure, different from conventional Wilkinson power divider, is the coupled lines instead of the transmission lines. The most important and unique method is used here in this paper is using coupled line for achieving the tri-band. In this paper the structure is presents on the Rogers RT5880 substrate with dielectric constant is 3.2 and substrate thickness is 0.8 mm, Using CST Microwave studio, by this substrates design there is simulated return loss is greater than 10 dB at center frequencies 8.3 GHz, 11.3 GHz and 17.4 GHz. The average insertion loss is 3 dB and group delays are around 0.29 ns at 8.3 GHz, 0.27 ns at 11.3 GHz and 0.27 ns at 17.4 GHz at these three center frequencies. In addition, the isolations between the outputs ports are greater than 10 dB over these three bands.
