Abstract :
The work reported in this paper deals with certain aspects of treeing in XLPE material. The influence of the presence of electrical trees on some of the electrical and physico-chemical properties of the XLPE material has been investigated. Impulse voltage withstand characteristics of XLPE samples degraded due to electrical tree growth has been discussed. The techniques employed for measurement and the relevance of various measurements has been presented
