Abstract
CSIR-NML-manufactured 10 pF ULE (Ultra-Low Expansion) quartz capacitors had been in use since the early 1970´s. Although the capacitors were extremely stable, they were susceptible to mechanical shock. We present the development of a standard capacitor, with improvements to increase its robustness as well as results of shock and vibration tests.
