  • Abstract
    In this paper, A two dimensional photonic crystal Add Drop Filter designed using coupling between waveguide and resonant cavity. This proposed structure is photonic crystal ring resonator, consist silicon rods. The photonic band gap (PBG) is obtained through plane wave expansion (PWE) method and simulation is done by using finite difference time domain method (FDTD). In this design, approximately 83% coupling efficiency is achieved by bus waveguide.
