Abstract :
We present the development of a new experiment with ultracold atoms. Its purpose is to measure the atomic recoil frequency shift of photons absorbed or emitted by an atom. One can deduce the ratio h/MRb Rb between the Planck constant and the mass of the atom, leading to the determination of the fine structure constant (α).
