Abstract
The calculation of a transformer´s parameters, such as the distributing capacitance and Inductance is very important to predict the rationality of winding insulation structure and ensure the safety and reliability of the operation of the transformer. This paper presents a new method of computing the equivalent series capacitance and inductance of a unit coil for the transient analysis in large transformers. The calculation method for transformer magnetic and electrostatic field is based on finite element method.
