Abstract :
The stability analysis of a chemical process is an important aspect at the design stage. In the present work stability of a distillation process is evaluated based on the location of Gerschgorin bounds. The Gerschgorin theorem is used to evaluate the bounds of the system. Two variants of Gerschgorin theorem i.e. Gerschgorin theorem with Bisection method and Gerschgorin theorem with Lyapunov method are considered. It is observed that the applied methods are more efficient than the conventional methods.
