  • Abstract
The static synchronous compensator is used in power system network for improving voltage of a particular bus and compensates reactive power. It is connected to a bus near to source to improve the voltage profile and reactive power compensation. The STATCOM control scheme for grid connected system for power quality improvement is simulated using MATLAB/SIMULINK in power system block. The proposed scheme is applied for both linear and non linear load. The fuzzy controller is used static critical time and better damping oscillations system after short circuit fault presented. To achieve this idea a controller is designed based on energy function. Here a membership function identifies from the fuzzy system. Fuzzy controller is employed to the system to enhance transient stability. The performance is analyzed using digital simulation with single machine infinite bus (SMIB).
