Abstract :
A novel method to reduce the side lobe level (SLL) of a symmetric dual-reflector antenna in a particular direction is presented. Some modifications in the subreflector structure using a lens antenna are made to achieve this purpose. A comparison is made between the new design and the conventional Cassegrain. Simulation results demonstrate the effective suppression of sidelobe level in the desired direction.
