Abstract :
Novel features in the design of a CW CO laser are described. The laser system allows selection of a large number of individual laser frequencies with sufficient stability to be used in precise frequency interval measurements in the 50 THz range. This system will be used to bridge the frequency gap between the NRC strontium ion standard and a stabilized commercial 1.5 /spl mu/m laser.
