Abstract
The mode of microwave over-the-horizon (OTH) propagation relates to frequency. Many transmission mechanisms are needed to carry on experimental study. In this paper, the transmission characteristics of microwave OTH propagation are analyzed, and some reasons that influence microwave OTH propagation loss are discussed, by marine empirical data. This has guiding sense to the marine OTH communication application.
