Abstract :
The device presented in this study is a four-probe, multifrequency, portable bioimpedance analyzer based on the magnitude-ratio and phase-difference detection principles. The system is built around a digital sine-wave generator, a voltage controlled current source, a phase-gain detector and a microcontroller unit. The Cole-Cole parameters, namely R0, Rinfin, fc and alpha are also calculated. The accuracy and precision of the device are checked against the HP 4284A LCR meter using different RC test loads.
